Casino Theatre is inspired by and named after a theatre that opened in Copenhagen in 1848. Its opening broke the Royal Theatre's monopoly and created a stage for playwrights and performers outside the establishment, giving new voices the opportunity to be discovered.

Although separated by more than 175 years, the idea behind that theatre still feels relevant today.

Before founding Casino Theatre, I spent fifteen years as an antitrust attorney specializing in merger control. My work focused on how markets evolve, how competition changes over time and how consolidation shapes access and opportunity.

When I later moved into the entertainment industry, I found myself looking at film and television through the same lens.

Hollywood is constantly evolving. As the industry consolidates and fewer organizations commission an increasing share of film and television content, access becomes increasingly valuable. At the same time, more creators than ever are competing for the opportunity to have their work discovered.

Over the years, I participated in the traditional development process. I pitched projects, took meetings and built relationships, just as countless writers and producers do every day. While those remain an important part of our industry, I often found myself asking a different question.

What if the story could do the talking?

Casino Theatre grew out of that question.

Rather than asking creators to spend years perfecting a pitch, Casino Theatre creates an opportunity for the work itself to be experienced. Through professionally staged live performances, audiences are invited to simply sit back and engage with the story. The conversation begins after the performance, shaped not by persuasion but by a shared experience.

That philosophy is also why Casino Theatre is intentionally independent. We do not represent talent, acquire rights or produce the projects we present. Our role is simply to create an impartial platform where exceptional writing, exceptional performances and meaningful creative conversations can come together naturally.

For writers, it is an opportunity to let the work speak for itself.

For actors, it is an opportunity to bring exceptional new writing to life while showcasing their talent before the people who can open new doors.

For the industry, it is an opportunity to discover stories through experience rather than explanation.

I don't believe every story needs another pitch.

Sometimes it simply needs the opportunity to be experienced.

That is why I founded Casino Theatre.
